Who are we talking about? The bees that you will be able to meet during this experience in the province of Sondrio, turning yourself into a beekeeper for a day! Together with an expert guide, you will discover many interesting facts about the world of beekeeping and try your hand at beekeeping.
And the final honey tasting will make everything even sweeter!
What we will do
The appointment is at the indicated time at the meeting point in Castionetto (SO) . We will be welcomed by the beekeeper, who will guide us through this experience of discovering the world of bees!
We will begin with a short theoretical lesson, during which we will analyse an educational beehive and learn many interesting facts about bees: how they are organised, what tasks they have, what distinguishes the queen bee from the worker bee, and why these little animals are fundamental to our ecosystem.
Immediately afterwards, we will enter a wellness apiary for an apitherapy session and for 50 minutes we will relax breathing in the scents of honey and wax, lulled by the buzzing of the hives surrounding the facility. We can read, meditate or doze while making ourselves comfortable.
Afterwards, we will watch the opening of a beehive from behind an apiary window. The beekeeper will show us the bees inside, pointing out the drones, larvae, workers and queen. For about 30 minutes, we will be able to observe this reality up close and ask as many questions as we wish.
To end on a sweet note, we will move to an adjacent room for a guided honey tasting (included) . We will taste the varieties of this nectar that are produced on site, such as delicious lime, millefiori or chestnut honey.
The activity will last a total of 2. 5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The activity is accessible to persons with motor disabilities. Please contact the activity organisers in advance at the contact details on your booking confirmation email to inform them of your presence.

The experience takes place from April to October, Saturdays and Sundays.
It is recommended not to use perfumes before the activity.
Dogs are allowed during the activity but cannot enter the apiary.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
