In this 3-hour experience in the province of Chieti, you will put yourself in the shoes of a beekeeper to discover first-hand how life works inside a beehive and how wildflower honey is made!
Then you can end the activity with a delicious snack of bread and honey!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Civitaluparella (CH). Our guide will be waiting for us, ready to accompany us on a journey of discovery into the world of bees. After an initial welcome moment, we will take the car and follow the organisers to the farm where the actual activity will take place.
We will begin with a theoretical explanation on beekeeping: thanks to the use of an educational beehive, we will safely observe the social organisation of families and how bees manage honey and pollen stocks. We will then put on our protective suits and, once we are ready, move into the apiary for the most exciting moment of the day.
During the visit to the apiary, which will last about 45 minutes, we will open the hives together with the guide to see what goes on inside. We will learn to distinguish drones, worker bees and queen bees and discover the valuable function of propolis.
And after dressing in the shoes of a beekeeper, we will end the experience with a delicious snack (included) of bread and locally produced wildflower honey !
The activity will last a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone from the age of 6. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The activity is not wheelchair accessible, but participants with reduced mobility are welcome.
Participation is not permitted for those allergic to bees.
Other information
The experience runs from mid-April to mid-September and is confirmed when a minimum number of 2 participants is reached.
Please note: when booking a minimum of 2 participants at full price, the third (if a child - aged 6 to 14) pays a reduced rate of 20 euros. Contact us to make your reservation!

Dogs are allowed.
There is free parking for participants on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
