Full description
This is the sweetest good morning of all!
We are talking about our beekeeping experience in Caprino Veronese, in the beautiful natural setting of Monte Baldo and Lake Garda. A young beekeeper will accompany you to discover the world of bees, the sounds and scents of which you will learn to recognise.
An experience of over 2 hours, which will end with a delicious tasting of honey!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before 09:00 at the meeting point in Casette di Gaon, in the municipality of Caprino Veronese (VR). Awaiting us will be our guide and beekeeper , who will accompany us on a discovery of the (very sweet) world of bees!
Having gathered all the participants, we will embark on a mostly uphill 800-metre route that will lead us to the farm. We will walk in the beautiful natural setting of Monte Baldo, with panoramic views of Lake Garda. Step by step, we will learn more about beekeeping and encounter characteristic plants of the area that are essential for the pollination of our bee friends.
The explanation will continue once we arrive at the farm, learning about the various types of bees and the organisation of the hive. We will handle the tools of the trade and prepare for the transformation: we will don overalls and gloves, becoming beekeepers for a day! We will approach the apiary, of which we will learn to recognise sounds and smells, in search of the queen bee.
And as a final dessert, there will be a tasting of home-produced or local honey!
The experience will last 2½ hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 7 and up. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The experience is not accessible to persons with mobility problems and/or a pushchair.

The experience takes place from April to October and is confirmed on reaching a minimum number of 3 participants.
Dogs are not allowed.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
