Full description
Come on, we know you too can't wait to don a beekeeper's suit.
You can do so by taking part in our experience discovering the world of bees: in the company of a professional beekeeper, you will explore an apiary and approachbeekeeping as a beginner. All this on his property near Città della Pieve, in the natural setting of Umbria.
Aone-hour experience, of which you will take home a sweet souvenir: a jar of honey!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Caticciano, near Città della Pieve (PG). We will be welcomed by a beekeeper, who will accompany us on a tour of his apiary!
Once all the participants have gathered, our beginner's approach to beekeeping will begin: the beekeeper will provide us with all useful information on clothing and equipment, using easy-to-understand terms. He will not fail to show us an emptyhive, so that we can better admire all its parts.
It will then be time to put on the beekeeper's suit and complete our transformation! We then walk to theapiary, a few steps away. Here the beekeeper will open one of the many coloured boxes, pull up the frame and open the doors to his sweet world for us: we will meet the queen bee, identify female and male bees and learn how honey is produced. We will return home with a jar of honey (125 g) of our choice from those produced with such passion by our bee-guide!
The total experience will last 1 hour.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for children from 4 years of age; children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult in the facility, but the latter need not participate in the activity.
The route is not wheelchair accessible.

Attention! Once you have made your booking and received the confirmation e-mail, please contact the beekeeper at the contact details given in the e-mail to communicate your clothing size (XS-XXXXL) for the preparation of the beekeeping suit.
The experience is available from May to September.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
