Full description

Looking for a sweet and gentle adventure? You've found it!

With this experience you can step into the shoes of a beekeeper for a day and discover the fascinating world of bees. You will also take part in a tasting of honey and local products!

Bzz , bzz: hurry up, the bees are calling you!

What we will do

The appointment is at the indicated time at the meeting point in Rivoli (TO). Our guide will be waiting for us, ready for this adventure into the world of beekeeping!

We will begin with a 15-minute welcome session, during which we will learn about the history of the company and some interesting facts about the complex society of bees, distinguishing between worker, drones and queen. Afterwards, we will put on our beekeeping suits and head to the apiaries to take a closer look at the hive frames and learn how to recognise the queen bee.

The experience will continue inside the laboratory, where for about 30 minutes we will watch the honey extraction or, if it is out of season, browse through the machinery that makes it possible. In addition, the guide will explain to us all the necessary steps to get the honey from the honeycomb into the jar.

Finally, we will go to the terrace for a honey tasting (included) : we will taste three types, trying to guess their botanical origin. This will be accompanied by a rich platter of local agricultural products, such as salami and local cheeses, served with white or red wine, apple juice and water.

And before saying goodbye, if we wish, we will have the opportunity to visit the farm shop to take home some of the sweetness we have just discovered.

The activity will last a total of 2 hours.
