Full description

The bee world knows: stripes never go out of fashion!

With this experience in the province of Monza and Brianza, you can step into the shoes of a beekeeper for a day and discover how life works inside a beehive together with your guide.

You will also be able to taste royal jelly, propolis and various types of honey!

What we will do

The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Agrate Brianza (MB), where our guide will be waiting for us, ready to introduce us to the secrets of beekeeping!

We will start with a 40-minute explanation about bees: we will learn how they are made, what tasks they perform and why the drones and the queen play an essential role. In addition, we will assemble an empty hive to understand in detail the parts it consists of.

Next, we will move into the apiary for about 40 minutes. Here the guide will take a frame and show us the bees as they do their work. Of all of them, we will try to spot the queen! Then we will put on our protective masks as real beekeepers and approach the hives to hear the sounds and smells around them.

Finally, we will be able to participate in a fantastic honey tasting (included) : we will taste different varieties of honey (acacia, lime, chestnut and millefiori) and try the other products of the hive, including royal jelly and propolis. And for the older ones, a taste of the delicious beer produced by the farm will also be included!

The activity will last a total of 2 hours.
