Full description
Beer is made from 90-95% water. That is why Birrificio Valdarno Superiore wanted its own private well, to draw directly from the source and create living, unfiltered and unpasteurised beers, starting with the main ingredient!
Here, every sip tells a story of research and love for quality. No artificial flavourings, no preservatives: just natural ingredients, happy yeasts and a master brewer who puts his heart into it.
An experience that includes a guided tour with tasting, where you will discover the secrets of brasserie production and taste three craft beers paired with local products!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the Birrificio Valdarno Superiore (BVS) in Malafrasca - Pergine Valdarno (AR). We will be in the heart of the Valdarno Aretino, an area where nature and Tuscan agricultural tradition coexist in perfect harmony.
We will be welcomed by the master brewer, who will guide us in the discovery of the brewery and its craft productions. We will begin with a visit to the brewing room and fermentation facilities, where the stages of production will be illustrated: from the choice of raw materials to fermentation and bottling.
We will discover how the water from the local aquifers, naturally rich in minerals, is the secret ingredient of these beers with a strong character. The master brewer will show us the machinery and tell us interesting facts about production, the role of yeast and high temperature fermentation techniques.
Following this, we will move to the tasting room for a "mini-masterclass of taste", during which we will taste 3 artisanal beers paired with 3 gastronomic dishes, designed to enhance the aromas and characteristics of each beer. Each pairing will change with the season, to offer an ever-changing experience.
The experience will last approximately 1 hour in total .

The beer tasting is for adults only; underage participants may take part as accompanying persons, at a reduced cost of €10.
The facility is wheelchair and/or pushchair accessible.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
