Have you ever tasted a beer brewed on the Naviglio?
If you are curious to discover the fascinating process that transforms malt and hops into beer, you cannot miss this guided tour at the Martesana Brewery, where true craftsmanship meets passion for the territory.
A 1½-hour experience where you will taste the entire production line accompanied by a platter of selected cold meats and cheeses from (almost) zero km!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at Birrificio Martesana in Cernusco sul Naviglio (MI), in the setting of the Naviglio Martesana, an area closely linked to the history of the brewery and its founders.
We will be welcomed by the master brewer and his team, ready to guide us on a tour inside the production plant. During the visit, we will have direct access to the processing rooms and observe the different stages of beer brewing, from fermentation to refining.
Walking through the various machines, the master brewer will guide us in a sensory analysis of the raw materials: from observing the colour of the wort, to tasting the malt, to smelling the aroma of the hops.
At the end of the tour, which lasts about one hour, it will then be time for the tasting. The master brewer will tap the entire beer line (generally consisting of 6 variants, which change according to the season) for us directly from a historic vintage American caravan, which has become the brewery's official tapper.
During the tasting session, we will enjoy discovering the flavours of malt and hops in the finished beer, a fascinating game of high-profile sensory analysis. We will taste the beers accompanied by a platter of selected cold meats and cheeses, as well as a selection of pizzas and focaccia.
The experience will last about 1½ hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
Beer tasting is reserved for adults only. Any accompanying minors and astemious persons may attend as 'chaperones' free of charge.
The facility is accessible by wheelchair or pushchair.

The activity takes place all year round and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point is not easily accessible by public transport.
Dogs are not allowed inside the facility .

Brewery products, including baked goods such as panettone and biscuits, can be purchased on site.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
