Visit to farm brewery and beer tasting in Nizza Monferrato

When Italy had not yet won its fourth World Cup, Nuovo Birrificio Nicese was already dreaming of producing craft beer in Nizza Monferrato.

Today that dream is an agricultural reality that cultivates its raw materials to create unique products. And indeed, during this experience, you will visit the production laboratory and brewing room, discovering how barley grown in the fields is transformed into beer.

A 1. 5-hour journey in which you will taste 3 craft beers paired with 3 delicacies from the Asti region!

What we will do

The appointment is at the selected time at the Nuovo Birrificio Nicese in Nizza Monferrato (AT) in the evocative setting of the Piedmontese hills, surrounded by fields of barley and the company's own hop garden .

We will be welcomed by the guide who will accompany us in a story that starts from a distant dream, when this brewery became a pioneer of craftsmanship in the area.

Having gathered all the participants, we will enter the brewery's production plant: here the guide will describe in detail the entire process of beer creation, from the collection of raw materials, to the cooking of the wort, to the final stage of bottling.

Once the visit is over, we will move to the tap room to begin the tasting. We will taste 3 different types of beer, chosen according to seasonality to ensure maximum freshness and taste.

Each glass will be paired with a small local culinary delicacy, designed to enhance the scents of malt and hops: we can try, for example, a weisse accompanied by crostini with mountain butter and anchovies, or a red beer paired with the famous Robiola di Roccaverano cheese with a touch of honey.

The experience will last about 1½ hours in total.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is recommended for 18 year olds and over, as the beer tasting is reserved for adults only. Any accompanying under-age persons may participate in the experience at a cost of €10. 00 and will be offered an apple juice tasting.

The facility is accessible to people with mobility problems and pushchairs.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 people.

Options are available for people with coeliac disease, thanks to the production of two types of gluten-free beers: please contact the establishment at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to communicate this or other dietary requirements.

Dogs are allowed inside the tap room, but are not allowed in the kitchen.

Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
