"Why don't we try making beer? "
It was one evening in 2020 that Podere 676 agricultural brewery in Fiumicino was born with this question, when Dimitri, Omar, Andrea and Marco decided to transform the hops growing in their grandfather's fields into Italian and organic beer.
Today, thanks to this intuition, you can enjoy an experience in which you will visit the hop garden, the barley field and the production facilities, but above all you will taste 3 beers accompanied by cacio, salami and pinsa romana!
What we will do
The appointment is at 11 a. m. at the Podere 676 brewery in Fiumicino (RM) in the Roman countryside. We will be welcomed by our guide, ready to take us on this tour of the brewery.
We will begin with a visit to the adjacent cultivations, where we will walk through the hop garden and the organic barley field. Here the guide will explain how these products become the secret ingredients of their agricultural craft beers.
We will continue to the production plant, built inside the old barn with state-of-the-art machinery. Here we will visit the brewing room, where the wort is created. We will then continue with a visit to the fermenters, where chemical magic transforms the wort into beer, and conclude with an explanation of the bottling process.
Afterwards, we will take a seat in the meadow in front of the brewery, where we can relax and enjoy nature while the guided tasting begins. We will taste three completely different types of beer : a Pils, an APA and a Bock, which will allow us to understand the variety and richness of the world of beer in the round.
During the tasting, the guide will describe the characteristics of each beer, its flavour profile and the ingredients that distinguish it. Eventually, we will also be able to taste some of the seasonal beers produced by the brewery (such as the Italian Grape Ale made with 40% grape must) at an additional cost depending on availability.
The tasting will be accompanied by a board with local products such as caciocavallo cheese, traditional salami and pinsa romana, selected to enhance the flavours of each beer.
The total duration of the experience will be about 2½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for 18 years and over. Beer tasting is reserved for adults only. Any accompanying under-age persons may attend at a cost of €25. 00 per person.

The activity is available from May to September and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.
Attention! In case of bad weather the experience will either take place entirely inside the brewery or will be postponed depending on the organiser's judgement.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
