Full description
Explore the Apulian countryside on a scenic bike tour through expanses of olive groves, vineyards, masserie and characteristic villages.
Starting from Monopoli, you will cycle along the sunny paths of the Itria Valley and the Murgia dei Trulli, in the Apulian hinterland, together with an expert guide who will reveal the secrets and curiosities of the area.
Of course, there will be no lack of wine and local product tastings along the way. It will be a pleasant 3-hour excursion to be enjoyed in relaxation and tranquillity.
What we will do
We will meet the guide and the rest of the group in Monopoli (BA). Handing over the bikes and holding an initial briefing, we will start pedalling out of the centre in the direction of Valle d'Itria. This area extends into the Apulian hinterland between the provinces of Bari, Brindisi , and Taranto and is characterised by its expanses of olive trees and characteristic trulli buildings.
It will be a ride of about 10 km, mainly on asphalt road with some dirt stretches. We will ride along quiet roads through the countryside, stopping at the most interesting points to take photos and listen to the guide's stories.
During the excursion we will also make an aperitif stop for an inevitable tasting of local wines and typical products. In total, the activity will last about 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is open to anyone who can ride a bike, aged 10 and up.
Other information
This activity can be carried out from April to November, weather permitting, and is confirmed on reaching a minimum of 4 participants.
The excursion will be carried out on a walking bike, with the possibility of requesting an e-bike while stocks last (at no extra charge).
