Are you ready to challenge your senses in an unusual tasting experience?
In Montalcino, at the Casanuova delle Cerbaie winery, you can try a Blind Tasting Experience that will forever redefine the way you taste wine.
An experience of over an hour in which the only compass will be your sense of smell and your palate and in which you will test yourself with 3 glasses of red wine representative of the terroir, accompanied by a tasting of local products.
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at Casanuova delle Cerbaie in Montalcino (SI) .
Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed by the winery staff in front of the estate and the historic vineyard, from which you will enjoy an enchanting view of Montalcino and the surrounding valley. Your guide will introduce you to the philosophy of the estate and take you on a complete tour of the cellar, to better illustrate the production philosophy and the main processing operations of the Sangiovese grapes.
Finally, you will come to the barrel cellar, the place of ageing with its traditional large Slavonian oak casks, and a collection of historic vintages. This first part of the activity will last about 30 minutes.
After learning more about winemaking techniques, we will move to the tasting room for the highlight of the activity. Here, completely blindfolded, the sensory challenge will begin: the absence of colour will leave room only for hidden scents, aromas and nuances.
Under the expert guidance of a sommelier, you will taste 3 representative red wines of the territory, trying to recognise their characteristics without any visual conditioning.
To complete the journey, glasses will be served accompanied by a taste of EVO oil and crunchy snacks such as taralli or breadsticks. It will be a perfect opportunity to have fun and sharpen the senses in a spontaneous and authentic way.
The experience will last a total of about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Who it is aimed at
The wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Minors may participate in the experience free of charge; water and juice are available for them.
In the case of participants in wheelchairs, the tasting can be set up in an accessible area of the winery: please contact the organisers after booking confirmation to inform them of your needs.

The experience takes place all year round, every day, and is reserved for private groups of up to 10 participants.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport, but it is possible to arrive from the centre of Montalcino by a 2. 5 km walk or bicycle ride. On-site parking is available.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
