An Epic Day

A unique, wonderful experience.nOur guide, Salvatore, accompanied us with professionalism, friendliness and precision. He had us do two practice runs and then we set off.A unique, picturesque route through vineyards, olive groves and towering cypress trees. He kept a close eye on us throughout, ensuring our safety whilst making sure we had fun, and his stories introduced us to the Siena region and made us fall in love with these places.I’d recommend this experience to everyone, and especially this route. On 3 October, we even came across the ‘eroica’ cycle race, which was coming from Gaiole and passing through the Crete Senesi – a unique thrill that felt like we’d gone back in time, with such a special energy…and Salvatore accompanied us every step of the way. On our return, he even kindly blew the dust off us with a compressor and cheered us up with his good humour. An excellent wine tasting with Giusy. We’ll be back in the spring to watch the sunset.

A sensational experience

We had the pleasure of immersing ourselves in the magical atmosphere of Aminta, the latest of the Cecchi family’s estates. A name that embodies stories and passions: it is, in fact, a combination of ‘Anita’, the mother of Andrea Cecchi and a source of inspiration for the whole family, and ‘Amiata’, the mountain that dominates the landscape, its majesty influencing the climate and the variety of soils.nnAminta is much more than just an estate; it is the perfect embodiment of the Cecchi family’s vision: to celebrate the identity of the region through a love of Sangiovese. A lovely place to discover!

We were welcomed into the home of Andrea and his mother. The atmosphere was very pleasant, comfortable and homely. Traditional local dishes, cooked with passion. An excellent and interesting reserve wine, just like the history of the winery and the family. Thank you for a lovely day.

A pleasant discovery

A wonderful experience made all the more enjoyable by the warm welcome we received from Matteo at Tenuta Aminta. His kindness, courtesy and discretion, coupled with a passion and expertise that were clearly evident throughout the tour, made our visit unforgettable. The wines offered for tasting (rosé, Rosso di Montalcino and Brunello di Montalcino) were simply sublime. The day ended with a kind gesture from the owner, who treated us to a tasting of the 1994 Brunello di Montalcino, which left us speechless.

Relax

Hello, we spent two hours of pure relaxation at this resort, amongst green meadows and vineyards, listening to the birdsong until sunset.nMany thanks to Mrs Alice for her warmth, kindness and skill in putting together a wonderful picnic basket filled with delicious local produce.nWe will certainly recommend it to our friends.
