Discover the beauty of Lake Massaciuccoli aboard a Dragonboat, a 12-metre-long wooden canoe inspired by Chinese tradition.
You will paddle in the company of an instructor and your companions while observing the calm waters of the lake, which is part of the Migliarino - San Rossore - Massaciuccoli Regional Park. You will sail through reeds and canals, enjoying the natural spectacle of ospreys, cormorants, herons and storks.
A perfect activity for team building or groups looking for a different experience!
What we will do
The rendezvous is at the small harbour of Lake Massaciuccoli, where the Dragonboat and guide await you. You will take your place in the long wooden canoe after putting on your jacket.
Each participant will be equipped with a single paddle and will contribute to the movement of the boat. You will thus experience the pleasure of an excursion on the lake in company and without great physical effort.
You will be able to calmly admire the lake landscape with its reeds and canals in the marsh area. Lake Massaciuccoli is part of the Migliarino - San Rossore - Massaciuccoli Regional Park, a privileged place for bird watching. On board the Dragonboat you will be able to spot ospreys, cormorants, herons, buzzards, storks and more.
In addition to the natural beauty, you will sail past the two villages of Massaciuccoli and Torre del Lago. The latter is known to have been the residence of the composer Giacomo Puccini, who turned it into a meeting place for writers and artists, from the actress Eleonora Duse to the writer Grazia Deledda.
You will have fun exploring the lake on board this long, winding boat, with plenty of room for fun and socialising. A perfect team building activity!
The total duration of the excursion will be 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is of an easy level and suitable for everyone, with no age limits.
Please inform the organisers if there are children on board, who may sit next to a parent or in a reserved seat without paddling. Children who do not paddle participate free of charge, while those who do paddle (generally from 7-8 years of age) pay the participant fee.
Other information
The excursion takes place all year round and is aimed at private groups of 5 participants to 20 participants (minimum to be able to drive the boat).
The Dragonboat is a wooden boat of oriental origin; the organiser has 2 Dragonboats, one that can accommodate up to 10 people and the other that can accommodate up to 20 people. Please select your preference when booking.
Changing rooms, toilets, storage space for personal belongings and a large car park are available at the kayak centre. A waterproof bag is provided for mobile phones.
