And you, have you ever tried fishing tourism? A tourist activity complementary to artisanal fishing that allows you not only to learn fishing secrets from the crew (and enjoy the catch on board) but also to visit the main attractions of the coast.
Our excursion departing from Sorrento takes you to discover the Sorrentine Peninsula, with a stop at Capri. Visit the island on your own or join a fishing trip on board: whichever you choose, you will return to the boat guided by the aroma of the gastronomic specialities cooked for lunch.
The experience lasts a total of 7½ hours. Every moment of the day will be good for catching photos (and fish)!
What we will do
Starting at 07:30 our shuttle will pick you up at your accommodation. I will be waiting for you at 08:30 at the port of Sorrento aboard my boat, ready to set sail.
The first part of the trip will take us sailing along the Sorrento Peninsula, where we will see the remains of the ancient Roman Villa of Pollio Felice, the Marina di Puolo, Massa Lubrense and Mitigliano.
We will then reach Capri, where we will admire the fascinating Grotta Bianca, the imposing Faraglioni cli ffs overlooking the sea, and the villas on the coast. Once landed on the island, you will be able to choose how to continue your day: stay on board for a 4-hour fishing trip, disembark to visit Capri on your own in 4 hours, or do both activities dedicating 2 hours to each.
For those who choose to participate in the fishing trip, thefishing equipment, rod and professional pole with 200 hooks, will be provided on site. You will be able to learn the secrets of the crew who will teach you the "bolentino" technique, used to fish forbream, seabream, sea bream and other fish that inhabit the seabed.
We will return on board recalled by the smell of the gastronomic specialities based on local-organic products that will be waiting for us for lunch (included), composed as follows: vegetable salad, tomato, mozzarella and homemade bread, torta caprese, limoncello and various drinks. It will also be possible to taste the catch, if available in quantity.
We will then stop for a swim and snorkelling, thanks to the equipment provided on board. Navigation will continue near the Grotta Verde (Green Grotto), whose name is linked to the characteristic colour of its waters, and the Punta Carena Lighthouse.
We will return to the port of Sorrento at 16:00; we will take you back to your accommodation by shuttle bus. The tour lasts a total of 7½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The tour is suitable for everyone with no age limit; children from 0 to 2 years old participate free of charge.
The boat is wheelchair-accessible but disembarkation on Capri is not possible.
Other information
The tour is available from March to October and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 4 participants.
The catching of large fish cannot be guaranteed. No tuna, swordfish or marlin are caught.
There is the possibility of landing on Capri. The landing fee is not included and can be paid on board exclusively in cash at a cost of €10 per person.
A visit to the Grotta Azzurra is not included but it will be possible to visit it independently once disembarked on Capri at a cost of € 14,00 per person.
Dogs are not allowed on board; to apply for your own small dog please contact the organiser directly at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail.
The boats available are 2 fishing boats, 1 gozzo sorrentino and 1 12-metre fibreglass boat. On board there is a kitchen, bathroom, shower and stereo.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
