Forget the Little Mermaid and her deep seas: you don’t need to go to the bottom of the sea to find a truly enchanted kingdom – just come to Castro Marina!
On this 3-hour boat tour, you’ll explore the Salento coastline and visit its famous caves, including Grotta Zinzulusa and Grotta Romanelli. The skipper will share lots of interesting facts about the area whilst you relax on board.
What’s more, there’ll be plenty of snorkelling and a final aperitif to round off the day!
What we will do
We’ll meet 30 minutes before the scheduled time at the meeting point in Castro Marina (LE). Here we’ll meet the skipper who’ll be taking us on our trip and, once we’ve settled on board, we’ll set off on this adventure along one of the most picturesque stretches of the Salento peninsula.
We’ll sail into the bay to admire the spectacular Grotta Palombara and Grotta Rotundella up close, both carved out of the limestone rock over the millennia. We’ll then head towards Grotta Azzurra, where the water takes on shades of blue or green, depending on the amount of light filtering through the opening, and Grotta Zinzulusa, to observe the distinctive formations hanging from the ceiling.
We’ll continue the tour with a stop at Grotta Romanelli, a site of incredible archaeological value, and at Grotta delle Striare, whose appearance is shrouded in legend. We’ll then arrive at Baia di Porto Miggiano, one of the most charming coves in Salento, where we’ll stop for about 20 minutes to take a dip in the sea. Immediately afterwards, we’ll head to Santa Cesarea Terme to admire Villa Sticchi and carry on to the Malepasso cove for a spot of snorkelling.
Finally, near Porto Badisco, we’ll turn back towards the starting point and raise a toast to the experience we’ve just enjoyed (included in the price) with local wine and snacks such as taralli, focaccia, cheese, crisps and olives.
The activity will last a total of 3 hours.

The activity is suitable for everyone without age limits; children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The boat is accessible to wheelchair users and persons with reduced mobility. Please contact the organisers at the contact details on your booking confirmation email to notify them.

The activity takes place from April to September and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 participants.
The itinerary and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions and at the skipper's discretion to ensure maximum safety.
The boat used is a motorboat, equipped with a sun canopy, freshwater shower, climbing ladder, comfortable seating, stereo and safety equipment. It is not necessary to remain barefoot on board.

Small dogs are allowed.
On-site parking spaces are available for a fee; it is also possible to reserve a private parking space with shuttle service by contacting the organisers after confirmation. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
