Discover Puglia’s most picturesque landscapes with a relaxing boat tour
With as much as 865 km of coastline, Apulia is a true wealth of beauty. The coastline alternates between sandy beaches and rocky, jagged stretches. The Gargano area in northern Apulia is characterized by white cliffs that plunge into the azure sea, creating a striking contrast of colors, complemented by bright green vegetation. Moving down the coast of Salento, you encounter caves and bays with transparent water that bring out the clarity of the seabed. Impossible to resist the urge to take a dive from the boat!
Boat tours in Salento: sea, aperitifs and fun
Salento needs no introduction. It is one of the most popular resorts in Puglia and is taken by storm every summer by tourists from all over Italy. Gallipoli and Porto Cesareo are famous among young people looking for fun, but also among lovers of kitesurfing and other water sports. Those on the Ionian side of Salento are strongly advised to book an apéritif on-board and enjoy a magnificent sunset over the sea.
Boat tours: visit the caves of Santa Maria di Leuca
Located at the tip of the Salento peninsula, Santa Maria di Leuca is one of the region’s most popular tourist resorts. Visiting its coasts by boat, both on the Ionian and Adriatic sides, you encounter numerous sea caves of legendary charm. The Grotta del Soffio is famous for the play of light and the vivid hues of the water, but Santa Maria di Leuca’s other caves are no less impressive. Choose one of the many boat tours to Leuca’s caves and get lost among the colors and beauty of these natural ravines.
Boat tours in Polignano a Mare
Polignano a Mare is another location famous for its caves. The quaint Apulian village is literally set in rock, and there are dozens of natural cavities in its surroundings. A guided tour of Polignano’s sea caves is an experience that allows you to immerse yourself in history, nature and legend. Pairing a boat tour with a tasting of typical Apulian products is absolutely recommended.

02 Jul 2026 | 3-hour boat trip between Monopoli and Polignano a Mare with toast
Sunset over the sea 🥰
The trip out on the gozzo with the Blue Moon was the perfect choice. I immediately appreciated the professionalism of this family-run business: they don’t aim for mass tourism or cram the boat to bursting point, but genuinely care about offering a unique and carefully curated experience. The captain is friendly, punctual and attentive. We set off from Monopoli at 6.00 pm and watching the sunset from the sea was an unforgettable moment. It’s a service that’s worth every cent of the €50 we spent: there’s a sense of balance, respect for the customer and a standard of quality you don’t find everywhere. Authentic🌊

A wonderful experience – definitely one to repeat!
Everything was perfect, from the booking process right through to the very last step as we disembarked from the boat. Mr Domenico was extremely kind; he showed us lots of places of interest and explained them to us in detail. We had the chance to go for a swim at Grotta Palazzo, and it was wonderful. I highly recommend this adventure.

A wonderful boat trip with the children
Five stars aren’t enough. Everyone was kind and professional, from the reception staff to Captain Giuseppe, who was always happy to chat. He taught my youngest children to swim in the sea without a life jacket. Two stops for a swim and some welcome aperitifs. Despite the choppy sea, my seasickness was looked after impeccably, and I even managed to go for a swim and get over my nausea thanks to his advice. A boat designed for privacy, with just 12 people on board – a world away from those soulless 100-seater vessels. We enjoyed three hours of the real sea!

An unmissable experience
A wonderful tour. A group of 10 people. The skipper, Gigi, was very flexible. Swimming in the Grotta del Soffio was brilliant.
