Full description
If there is one place to visit at least once in a lifetime, it is the Polignano a Mare coastline.
Aboat trip of about an hour and a half will allow you to visit enchanting coastal spots, beaches, suggestive inlets and the world-famous caves, from the Grotta degli Innamorati to the Grotta Palazzese.
What are you waiting for? Climb aboard, admire the views all around you and end the day with a tasty aperitif of typical Apulian products.
What we will do
We will meet at the meeting point 15 minutes before departure time at San Vito di Polignano a Mare (BA).
Once we set sail, we will spend about an hour and a half at sea visiting the coastline and its beautiful caves, from San Vito to Portalga.
We will stop at the Grotta delle Rondinelle, one of the largest on the northern coastline, known for being one of the most popular sites for diving enthusiasts.
A second stop will take us to the Grotta degli Innamorati, which, as its name suggests, is the most romantic place in the area. Small and charming, the Grotta degli Innamorati has the peculiarity of protecting visitors from the prying eyes of other bathers.
We will then turn to Grotta Palazzese, by far the largest on the Polignano coastline and probably the best known to tourists, and Grotta Ardito.
During the tour, we will stop for a swim in one of these caves and finally conclude the tour with a typical Apulian aperitif of taralli and prosecco.
The total duration of the tour is oneand a half hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is at an easy level and therefore open to everyone without age limits. Children up to 2 years of age do not pay.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible.
Other information
The boat excursion can be booked every day from May until September, subject to sea weather conditions, and is confirmed with a minimum number of 4 participants .
The boat available is a 7.9-metre long motor boat with a 150 HP engine, equipped with a shower, awning and safety devices.
Dogs are not allowed on board.
The meeting point can be easily reached by car, while public transport is not recommended. Free or paid parking spaces are available in the vicinity.
