Sicilian gozzo excursion from Cefalù with aperitif

How much we love sailing in the sea of Western Sicily.

Try it for yourself by taking part in our Sicilian gozzo excursion: in the company of a skipper, you will venture along the Cefalù seafront and the areas known as Calanica, Mezzaforno and Kalura. These beautiful natural settings will provide the backdrop for your bathing stops.

A3-hour experience, with an aperitif on board as Sicilian hospitality teaches!

What we will do

The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Cefalù (PA). We will be greeted by the skipper, who will welcome us on board his Sicilian gozzo.

Once we have finished boarding all the passengers, we will set sail into the wonderful sea of Western Sicily: we will sail along the seafront and venture offshore to the areas known as Calanica and Mazzaforno, which will be the setting for an initial swimming stop. We will then turn back towards the Cefalù waterfront, with a view of the old town, in front of which we will stop for a second swim.

We will continue sailing towards the area known as Kalura, for the last bathing stop of the excursion. This location is famous for its archaeological heritage: when the waters are particularly clear, and with a bit of luck, it is even possible to spot archaeological remains lying on the seabed from the surface!

Meanwhile, an aperitif (included) of assorted snacks and fresh fruit will be served on board, accompanied by a glass of prosecco or soft drinks.

We will then return to the meeting point. The experience will last a total of 3 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is suitable for everyone without age limits; children under 18 can participate unaccompanied. Children from 0 to 4 years of age participate free of charge but must report their presence on board by contacting the organiser at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail.

The boat is not accessible to people with mobility problems.

Other information

The experience takes place from June to October and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.

There is free and/or paid parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

Theboat is an 8-metre long Sicilian gozzo, equipped with an awning and shower. On board one remains barefoot. Dogs are not allowed on board.
