Full description
Do you know why the houses in the Cinque Terre are so colourful? Legend has it that the local fishermen painted them this way to recognise them from the open sea during the long days of work.
Today that colour palette is ready to enchant you during our 2½-hour boat trip departing from Riomaggiore.
Together with a skipper you will sail towards Vernazza and Monterosso, among dives, caves and glimpses that only the perspective of the sea can give you!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Riomaggiore (SP) . Awaiting us will be the skipper who will accompany us on our boat trip to the Cinque Terre!
We will board the boat and immediately start sailing north. We will stop in front of Manarola and Corniglia to take photos of the villages directly from the boat, admiring the terraced vineyards sloping down to the sea.
We will then continue towards the sea caves located just before Vernazza. Here we will make a bathing stop of about 20-30 minutes: we can dive into the clear waters for a refreshing swim. If conditions permit, the skipper will take us to see a natural waterfall that cascades over the cliff.
After the swim, we will pass Vernazza to admire its famous church overlooking the water. We will then reach Monterosso, where the coast becomes wider, before heading a little further out to sea. From this privileged position we will have a total view of the entire profile of the Cinque Terre.
Finally, we will reverse course to return to the starting point. The activity will last a total of 2½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for all without age limits; children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The boat is not accessible to wheelchairs and persons with reduced mobility.
The excursion is also not recommended for pregnant women.
Other information
The activity takes place from April to October and is confirmed with a minimum number of 4 participants.
The itinerary and stops may vary according to weather and sea conditions at the skipper's discretion.
The boat used is a 7-metre Open boat, equipped with an awning for protection from the sun and a freshwater shower.
Dogs are not allowed on board.
Using a car to reach Riomaggiore is not recommended. The meeting point can be easily reached by public transport, in particular by train from La Spezia.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
