Visiting the Ligurian Riviera by boat is a great idea to admire the coastal villages and landscapes from the point of view of the sea. From the East to the West, from the Cinque Terre to Ventimiglia, there are plenty of places to visit and marinas in which to dock to go down to the mainland and enjoy a good plate of trofie with pesto. A boat tour in Liguria is a must-do activity if you want to fully experience the passion for the sea and the maritime tradition of this beautiful region.

Boat tours in Liguria: the most picturesque ports
Those who want to explore Liguria by sea cannot miss the opportunity to visit the 5 terre by boat starting from La Spezia. Another must-see location is the Gulf of Tigullio, from Sestri Levante to Portofino, passing through Rapallo, Santa Margherita Ligure, and the bay of Paraggi, a beautiful natural inlet with emerald-colored water. Rounding the cape, there is the Abbey of San Fruttuoso, a monastic building built right on the beach, which stands out among the blue of the sea and the green of the surrounding vegetation. Continuing on, you encounter the colorful village of Camogli, one of the last resorts on the Riviera di Levante before arriving in Genoa.
Just past Savona, Bergeggi, Noli, Varigotti, and Finale Ligure are considered the most beautiful locations in the Ponente. A great sailing tradition is cultivated in this area and numerous centers offer not only sailing tours but also lessons and courses for those who want to approach this sport. Continuing on the Riviera di Ponente, you encounter other beautiful locations such as Albenga, Alassio, the island of Gallinara and San Remo, until you reach Bordighera and Ventimiglia, the gateway to the French Riviera.
Cinque Terre boat tour: what to visit
The Cinque Terre are world-famous and visited by thousands of tourists each year, attracted by the small villages perched on the rugged coastline. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997, the Cinque Terre consists of the towns of Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso al Mare. These small villages are characterized by colorful little houses clinging to rocky ridges overhanging the sea, providing unique panoramic views and a romantic and somewhat melancholy atmosphere.
To visit the 5 Terre by boat, you can leave from La Spezia and stop at each port for a visit of the five villages. Those in La Spezia should not miss the opportunity to also visit Porto Venere, the Gulf of Poets and the Island of Palmaria, which are also UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

We booked the tour for a hen party. The boat trip was really lovely. Steeven and his partner were very welcoming and attentive to our needs: great music, a very comfortable boat and an aperitif in an amazing setting! They also told us some interesting facts about the Cinque Terre. Highly recommended experience

A lovely walk in the Gulf of the Poets
The boat (Lord Byron) was lovely, with comfortable seating both inside and outside. The itinerary and the guides on board were good. The stopovers on land were of a reasonable duration. The boat’s crew seemed a bit ‘stressed’, particularly when disembarking at the various moorings, where they rush passengers and try to clear the boat as quickly as possible.
