Full description
Did you know that the name Gallipoli comes from Greek and means 'beautiful city'? To understand why the ancients called it that, you have to stop looking at it from the mainland!
We'll be waiting for you on board for a 3-hour boat trip among the panoramas of Sant'Andrea Island and Punta Pizzo, where the Mediterranean scrub perfumes the air and the seabed changes colour with every mile.
In the company of a skipper, you will discover the wilder side of Salento, with stops for swimming and a typical Apulian aperitif!
What we will do
The rendezvous is 10 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Gallipoli (LE) . Here we will meet the skipper who will accompany us on our adventure and, after a quick welcome, we will board to start sailing south, leaving the walls of the old town behind us.
Our first destination will be Punta della Suina. We will drop anchor in front of this stretch of light-coloured sand for our first bathing stop of about 30 minutes. We can swim or have fun on the SUP available.
We will then continue on to Punta Pizzo, where the cliffs become more indented: here we will make a second stop for another 30 minutes. We will then head towards the island of Sant'Andrea. We will circumnavigate the entire island to admire its lighthouse and nature reserve, stopping for a final half-hour swim.
During the break, the skipper will regale us with good music and a Salento aperitif with frisa, chips, prosecco and soft drinks. Between a chat and a toast, we will then start the return journey admiring the fortified profile of Gallipoli on the horizon.
The activity will last a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from 2 years of age; children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The boat is not wheelchair-accessible; however, the staff can support any passengers with mobility difficulties in boarding with prior notice.
Other information
The activity takes place from June until September and is confirmed with a minimum number of 4 participants.
The itinerary and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions at the skipper's discretion.
The boat used is a 7-metre fibreglass gozzo, equipped with a large cover for shade, a freshwater shower, an ascending ladder, a small beach and a stereo. On board you stay without shoes.
In the event of food allergies or intolerances, please inform the organisers in advance at the contact details given in your confirmation e-mail.
Dogs are welcome on board.
On-site parking spaces are available for a fee. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
