Full description
Climb aboard a comfortable motor boat and set sail for a two-hour tour to discover the extraordinary stretch of coastline between Monopoli and Polignano a Mare. You will admire the many caves along the Polignano coast, such as the majestic Grotta Palazzese.
The excursion includes a swim stop right in front of the cave to allow you to take a dip in a unique setting. Once back on board, you will enjoy a typical Apulian aperitif and resume sailing to admire the Lama Monachile beach from the sea.
The skipper will be your guide and will tell you many curiosities about these places, where nature has sculpted the great cliffs overlooking the water and coloured the sea green and blue.
What we will do
We will meet at the pier in Monopoli, near the imposing castle of Charles V. Here the boat will be waiting for us to accompany us on our marine excursion to discover the beautiful coastline leading to Polignano.
Once settled on board, we will sail along the coastline with its cliffs, Saracen towers and crystal-clear sea that fades from green to blue. We will then reach Polignano, which stands on a large cliff dotted with many caves. We will arrive by boat to the largest and most amazing cave: Grotta Palazzese.
The cave will amaze us with its size, the play of light that changes the colour of the water, the small pebble beach, and, above all, the terrace suspended between the rocky vault and the sea that houses the restaurant of the same name.
The boat will stop right in front of the cave for a stop of about 15 minutes. We will thus be able to dive in and experience the thrill of bathing surrounded by the magic of the Polignano coastline and the unique atmosphere of Grotta Palazzese. Once back on board, we will enjoy a typical Apulian aperitif of cold soft drinks and delicious taralli.
The boat will then resume sailing to reach Lama Monachile, Polignano's famous beach, which we will admire from the sea. There are many curiosities that make these places even more fascinating and that we will be able to discover thanks to the skipper. For example, we will observe the cliff from which, every year, the international champions of the Red Bull Cliff Diving dive, and the statue of the singer-songwriter Domenico Modugno, a native of Polignano.
Having completed the tour of the Polignano coastline, the boat will return to the port of Monopoli. The activity will last a total of two hours.

The boat is not wheelchair accessible.
Other information
The excursion is available from April to October every day and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants, subject to weather and sea conditions.
Themotor boat is 6.5 metres long and is equipped with a sun canopy, a freshwater shower, a ladder for getting back on board after swimming and life jackets.
Dogs are not allowed on board.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
