Full description
Take part in a day 's buggy ride to discover the Chianti area. Let a guide take you on a route through medieval castles and old villages, in the company of the area's wildlife.
Along the way, there will be a picnic stop and a stop at a wine cellar for a small wine tasting with the flavour of the Tuscan countryside. And then back on board, through a scenic cypress avenue, for a total of six and a half hours.
What we will do
I will be waiting for you at 09:30 a.m. at the meeting point communicated at the time of booking, in Badesse (SI). At our meeting I will provide you with all the necessary information for our buggy excursion!
Once on board, we will set off to discover the hilly Chianti area , driving through golden fields and verdant vineyards; I will be driving the buggy while you can comfortably enjoy the experience. Along the way we will admire ancient farmhouses, medieval castles and villages of bygone times, always with the panorama of the Tuscan countryside in the background. We will also go in search of wild boar, deer, foxes, hares and pheasants that inhabit the area.
Along the way we will stop at a winery, which we will reach along a scenic cypress-lined avenue; we will be welcomed for a tasting of local wines (2 glasses). Another stop is planned for a picnic lunch (included): this is a light lunch with a platter of cold meats and cheeses, accompanied by water and wine.
We then return to the buggy to return to the starting point. The tour lasts a total of 6 ½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The tour is suitable for everyone with no age limit; all participants will be passengers, while the guide will drive the buggy.
Wheelchair users cannot participate in the experience.
Other information
The tour can be booked from April to November and is confirmed when a minimum number of 2 participants is reached.
One 6-seater buggy is available for a maximum total of 6 participants including driver (guide) and passengers (participants).
The experience also takes place in the event of rain. In the event that a thunderstorm occurs during the tour and the guide decides that for safety reasons it is better not to continue, you will be accompanied back to the starting point and there will be no refund.
Dogs are not allowed to participate in this activity.
A vegetarian lunch-picnic menu is available on request.
Wine tasting generally consists of 2 glasses; additional glasses may be requested at a cost of €5.00 per glass to be paid on site.
A pick-up and drop-off service from/to Florence is available at a cost of €100 per person; in this case, the total duration of the experience will be 8 ½ hours including transfer.
