Spoiler: lighting a fire is not just a matter of rubbing two random sticks together. But at the end of the day you will really know how to do it!
This bushcraft experience in Morra, in the province of Perugia, is a 9-hour practical outdoor course, led by an instructor, to learn how to light a fire using traditional methods.
Tinder, bow and many other crackling techniques!
What we will do
The appointment is at 08: 00 at the meeting point in Morra, a hamlet of Città di Castello (PG) . From there, the instructor will accompany us in his off-road vehicle to the point where the experience will take place, about 4 km away.
Once on site, we will begin by exploring the surroundings to collect natural bait and combustible materials to light the fire. We will use the knife to process wood and obtain effective primers.
We will then move on to the different methods of lighting fires: from ancient tinder to modern tinder, to the fire bow and ignition by magnifying glass, if conditions permit.
We will delve into the mechanics and chemistry of fire: nest, flame, combustion and carbonisation. There will also be a moment dedicated to the relationship between man, nature and fire: how to use it, when and why.
We will end the day with a final debriefing to exchange impressions and final advice. The activity will last a total of 9 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 16 and over. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Other information
The experience takes place from October to May and is confirmed with a minimum number of 3 people.
Dogs are not allowed.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport. There is free parking on site.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
