Have you ever dreamed of leaving behind the daily hustle and bustle to embrace adventure in nature?
Join us for a bushcraft experience in Cerveteri, where nature becomes your guide and technology . .. well, who remembers?
From morning till nightfall, instructors will teach you the secrets of living in a natural environment, from how to identify edible plants and medicinal herbs to how to build a shelter with your own hands. And again: you will try bushcraft cooking, using the 'dutch oven' and other traditional methods.
What we will do
We’ll be meeting at the bushcraft camp in Cerveteri (RM) at 9. 00 am. The camp – the first in Italy to be open all year round – is situated in an enchanting setting, which will also give us the chance to explore the marvellous Cerveteri Waterfalls.
On arrival, we’ll hold an introductory briefing straight away to give us a taste of what the day has in store. We’ll practise the fundamental bushcraft techniques, starting with the use of tools (knives, axes, etc. ) and working through to building an emergency shelter. We’ll learn to recognise nature’s signs and make the most of everything the environment has to offer.
Over the course of the day, we’ll cover the following in detail:
- Introduction to tools: the safe and correct use of knives, axes and other essential bushcraft tools.
- Woodworking: practical methods for cutting, carving and assembling wood to create useful tools and structures.
- Shelter building: how to build a safe and cosy shelter using natural materials.
- Practical botany: identifying medicinal herbs and edible plants.
- Fire-starting and fire management techniques: practical advice on starting and maintaining a fire for both warmth and cooking.
- Orientation in the wild: basic principles of navigation and orientation, essential for every adventurer.
- Food preparation and preservation: natural methods for preparing and preserving food outdoors.
- Survival basics: an introduction to fundamental survival techniques, to ensure you always feel at ease in the great outdoors.
We’ll also have the chance to enjoy a special lunch featuring traditional woodcutter’s dishes, prepared on the spot using the ‘Dutch oven’ method.
The activity will finish at around 5. 00 pm, making for a total of 8 hours’ experience.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone aged 6 years and older. For minors, if unaccompanied, a signed parental authorisation is required.

The experience can be booked all year round and is confirmed once a minimum of 3 participants has been reached.

Dogs are not permitted.
Part of the road leading to the meeting point has an uneven surface: please take care whilst walking along this section. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
