Canoeing on the Brenta River in the province of Vicenza

Hot dog or packraft? That is the dilemma.

Take part in our canoe excursion on the Brenta river: aboard these cute 'banana' or 'pancake' shaped boats, you will sail through the splendid natural scenery of the province of Vicenza. At your side, a Guide of the Italian Canoe Kayak Federation.

A2-hour experience, punctuated by the rhythm of paddling!

What we will do

The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Solagna (VI). We will be welcomed by the Guide of the Italian Canoe Kayak Federation, who will accompany us on this adventure!

Having gathered all the participants, we will receive and put on our equipment. We will then board the shuttle that will take us to the starting point of the experience, about 10 km away. At the destination, a short theory lesson will take place, followed by water exercises, preparatory to a carefree experience.

We will then board the assigned inflatable canoe: when booking, we will be able to choose between hot dog, a canoe with a nice "banana" shape that navigates more on the surface, and packraft, a small inflatable boat with a nice "pancake" shape that navigates more submerged in the water.

And here we are ready to begin our canoe trip on the Brenta river: we will paddle in a beautiful natural setting, letting ourselves glide over the water and be rocked by the waves. The guide will always be at our side to provide us with eventual and constant support.

We will land and finally return to the meeting point. The experience will last a total of 2 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is suitable for ages 14 and up. Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult.

It is not necessary to know how to swim to participate.

The experience is easy and suitable for a first canoe trip.

Other information

Attention! The experience takes place even in bad weather: with or without rain, you will still come out wet from this fun rafting descent!

The experience takes place from March to October and is confirmed when the minimum number of 2 participants is reached.

When booking, you will be able to select your preference between a hot dog-type inflatable canoe or a packraft-type inflatable canoe: the former is an inflatable canoe that is mostly on the surface, the latter is a small dinghy that is mostly submerged in water. The organisation provides single and/or double pneumatic canoes, used at the guide's discretion; for a first canoeing experience, the single canoe is recommended.

There are changing rooms, toilets and hot showers on site. There are also bars, picnic areas and equipped barbecue areas (for a fee).

Any personal belongings must be stored in your vehicle in the private car park. The keys to your vehicle will then be left for safekeeping at reception.

Free parking is available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

Recommended clothing

• Costume to be worn under a wetsuit
• Microfleece or t-shirt (technical, thermal or anti-uv preferably not cotton) to be worn under the wetsuit
• Closed shoes that can get wet (sneakers, rock shoes or diving shoes, no sandals or flip-flops)

• Bag for storing wet clothes
