Full description

Set off on a thrilling canyoning route through the exuberant nature of the Val Bodengo in the province of Sondrio. You will descend along the Boggia torrent and experience an adventure between water and rock.

Canyoning, or canyoning, is an exploratory practice of river environments that combines elements of mountaineering, such as abseiling, and water activities, such as diving, swimming stretches and natural slides.

It is a fun activity for young and old and is conducted in complete safety by an experienced local mountain guide. What are you waiting for to try it?

What we will do

We will meet in Gordona, in the province of Sondrio. We will meet the mountain guide and the rest of the group and head towards the entrance to the canyon of the Boggia stream. There we will have a preparation briefing, during which we will be provided with thenecessary equipment and explained the rules of behaviour to carry out the activity safely.

When we are ready to leave, we will begin our descent down the stream, alternating between walking on the boulders of the stream within its bed, swimming stretches, jumps and dives from the rocky spurs, rope descents of up to 15 metres and fun toboggans, the natural slides created by the perpetual flow of water over the rocks.

We will penetrate inside the gorges and in the narrowest passages between one wall and another, in places not normally accessible and reserved for lovers of this discipline. The canyoning route is about 1500 m long and is completed in about 3 hours. The mountain guide will always be on hand to give assistance and support to the less experienced participants. With the exception of the rope abseil, the other obstacles are not obligatory and can be avoided by taking easier routes.

At the end of the adventure, we will return to the cars we left at the starting point, hand in our wetsuits and equipment and say goodbye until the next experience.

Who it is aimed at

This activity is of an easy level. No previous canyoning experience is necessary, but good physical condition and the ability to swim at least 30 m is required. Children from 8 years of age can also participate.

Other information

The activity takes place from July to September, on the dates indicated in the calendar, and is confirmed on reaching a minimum of 4 participants.

Depending on weather conditions and the flow of the river, the activity may be changed or moved/suspended at the guide's discretion.

The guide is covered by a professional liability insurance policy. An accident insurance policy can be taken out at an additional cost of 3€ (payable locally). If you are interested, ask the guide after booking.

Important: a few days before the activity you will be contacted by the guide, who will ask you for your weight and height in order to prepare the necessary equipment and will also confirm the meeting point.

It is recommended to have a light but nutritious breakfast at least one hour before the activity.

Caution! To reach the canyoning starting point, you will have to pay a fee of 6€ per vehicle (to be paid to the guide as soon as you arrive on site).
