Looking for an easy and memorable adventure to enjoy with the whole family?
In the heart ofAspromonte, in the province of Reggio Calabria, there is a canyon that seems designed for the enjoyment of young and old: the Torrente Furia.
You can try a canyoning route of about 2 hours in total safety and guided by an expert, among jumps, rappels, water slides and landscapes that look like something out of a storybook!
What we will do
The appointment with the guide is at the meeting point in Melito di Porto Salvo (Reggio Calabria), at the time selected when booking. No walking approach: the torrent is waiting for us a few metres away, right next to a nice fountain in the shape of a turtle.
After donning the equipment and receiving instructions from the guide, we will immediately enter the heart of the action: the Torrente Furia will welcome us with its gorges, lush vegetation and fresh, clear water.
The route is about 1 km long and includes 5 fun rappels, natural slides or "toboggans" and, for the more daring, 3 jumps (all optional). If we wish, we can also descend into a 'hole' carved by the water - an amazing and super scenic passage.
The beauty of this canyon is that it provides adrenalin but does not require experience: no splits, simple and always accompanied descents, in a unique historical and natural context, in the heart of theGrecanica area.
At the end of the approximately two-hour route, a short climb of just over 100 metres in altitude difference will take us back to the cars. Between briefing, dressing and the route, the entire experience takes about 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is at an easy level and suitable for everyone from 6 years old. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
To participate, it is not necessary to know how to swim, you just need to be comfortable with the water.
Other information
The experience can be booked every day from May to September and is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
The meeting point is not easily accessible by public transport.
There are no showers, toilets or changing rooms on site; it is required to arrive already wearing a swimming costume, thermal shirt (optional) and wet sneakers
