Want to try canyoning... but don't know where to start?
Join us for canyoning at theForra del Buco, in the heart ofAspromonte. This is theideal experience for those who want to approach canyoning in an easy, safe and exciting way. Five rope descents await you (the highest is 20 metres!), a unique natural landscape and an expert guide who will accompany you step by step.
What are you waiting for?
What we will do
The appointment is at 9.00 a.m. at the meeting point in Gioia Tauro, in the province of Reggio Calabria. After being welcomed by the guide, we will carry out an introductory briefing together and will be provided with the necessary equipment and wetsuit.
Once ready, we will board the shuttle that will take us in just 10 minutes to theentrance of the canyon, at an altitude of about 800 metres.
The canyon winds its way for about 700 metres among the rocks of theAspromonte, in a quiet but fascinating environment. Here we will begin the route: five rope descents await us (the highest is 20 metres), all perfectly manageable even for those who have never tried canyoning.
The guide will accompany us along the entire route, making sure that we are as safe as possible. Once the gorge section has been completed, after about two hours, the shuttle will be waiting for us to take us comfortably back to our starting point.
Between briefing, dressing, the route and moving around, the whole experience takes about 2½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is of an easy level and suitable for everyone from 12 years old. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Swimming skills are required to participate.
Other information
The experience can be booked every day from May to September and is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
The meeting point is not easily accessible by public transport.
There are no showers, toilets or changing rooms on site; you are required to arrive already wearing a swimming costume, thermal shirt (optional) and wet sneakers.
