Full description
Fun and adrenaline come together in this canyoning experience along the Jannello torrent, a tributary of the Lao river that originates in the Pollino National Park.
The 2.5 km-long route will take you through natural slides, small waterfalls, rope descents and jumps into pools of crystal-clear water where you can cool off with a swim.
You will almost lose track of time and completely break away from your daily routine to immerse yourself in a truly unique natural dimension.
What we will do
We will meet in Laino Borgo (CS), to take the shuttle bus that will take us to the start of the route in about 15 minutes.
Our canyoning will take place in the Jannello torrent, a tributary of the Lao river characterised by a water flow particularly suited to this discipline. We will put on our wetsuits and harnesses and the guide will hold a briefing to explain some basic concepts of canyoning or canyoning and the behaviour to adopt during the activity to ensure maximum safety.
At the end of the briefing, we will begin our 2.5-kilometre route, a succession of water jumps, small waterfalls and pools to swim in that will test us and entertain us, with slides on water-smoothed rocks, dives and rope descents.
Crossing the bed of the torrent, which springs from Mount Gada in the Pollino National Park, we will have the feeling of being Indiana Jones grappling with the discovery of an unspoilt place.
Among the obstacles we will have to face, most of which can be circumvented, will be two rope descents of about 7 metres and some jumps between 1 and 2 metres, with pools of water after each jump.
It will take about 3 hoursto complete the route , at the end of which we will return to our base.
The activity has a total duration of 4.5 hours, including briefing and transfers.
Who it is aimed at
This canyoning is suitable for people with good aquatics and physical fitness, aged 10 years and over.
Unaccompanied minors must have a release form signed by their parents.
Other information
The activity takes place every day from May to September and is confirmed when there are at least 2 participants.
At the end of the activity, participants will have access to the facility's toilets and showers for changing.
