A day of sport, fun and nature less than 80 km from Rome? With this canyoning descent to the Fosso della Mola is possible!
You will venture into a gorge with slides carved into the rock, abseiling and dives up to 12 metres into the waters of the Salto river, in the province of Rieti.
A fun without limits, within everyone's reach and experienced in the company of an expert guide. Don't miss it!
What we will do
We will meet 15 minutes before 10 a.m. at the meeting point in Casette, in the province of Rieti. We will meet the guide and, after handing over ourequipment and getting dressed, we will set off towards Balzi di Grotti, an area famous for its many crags full of climbing routes.
After about 40 minutes of walking in the Salto river valley , we will reach Fosso della Mola. Before starting the canyoning route proper we will have a briefing on progression techniques and safety rules. And then, off to adventure!
Sections with shallow water will alternate with deep pools, where it will be necessary to dive neck-deep(if the water flow is substantial). As we progress, the gorge will narrow, becoming more and more vertical.
There the most sensational section will begin, with slides, dives and waterfalls. The highest one we encounter will be 12 metres high and will test us with a truly spectacular abseil! We will then continue the route until we pass through a cave and swim across a crystal-clear pool.
On our way out of the canyon, we will be at the meeting point in just 5 minutes , where we will share the most exciting moments of the experience and say goodbye!
Theactivity lasts a total of 4 hours, but the time taken to complete the route may vary depending on the flow of water and the number of participants.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable from 12 to 65 years of age.
To participate, it is necessary to know how to swim.
This canyoning excursion is of an average level, but perfectly accessible even to newcomers to the sport.
Other information
The activity takes place from April to mid-July and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 4 participants.
Important: This activity is strongly influenced by the environmental conditions of the season. The water flow rate is very variable and both the duration of the course and the possibility of carrying it out depend on it.
There are no showers or changing rooms, so it is advisable to arrive with your swimming costume already on.
During the activity, it is not possible to take any objects or bags/backpacks with you, as they would get wet during the canyoning route; you must therefore leave them in the car.
There is a bar at the meeting point. Dogs are not allowed during the experience.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
