Why settle for just one canyon when you can have two?
This experience in the province of Imperia combines the Rio Grognardo and Torrente Argentina canyons in a single route. You will spend about 4 hours in an unspoilt natural environment, testing yourself with natural slides, spectacular dives and abseiling on ropes.
An experienced guide will be by your side at all times, so you can enjoy every moment of this adventure. Double canyoning, double the fun!
What we will do
We will meet at 9 a.m. in Molini di Triora (IM), where the guide will provide us with equipment and explain the route ahead. After a short 25-minute trek along a flat path, we will arrive at the starting point of Rio Grognardo.
After the safety briefing and dressing in wetsuits, we will begin the first part of our adventure in the Rio Grognardo canyon, which will offer us slides and rope descents, including the highest of 6-7 metres.
At the end of this first part, we will exit the canyon and enter the forest for a short 10-minute stretch until we reach the Argentina Torrent. Here the emerald water will be even more of a protagonist, set among spectacular formations of polished limestone: dives from 1 to 8 metres await us, again optional, other slides and water games, until the splendid final pool where the two routes converge.
After about 2½ hours of total canyoning between Grognardo and Argentina, we will conclude the route with a 25-minute return walk, along the same route taken on the outward journey.
The total duration of the experience will be about 4 hours, including briefing, approach and return time.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for ages 12 and up. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
No previous canyoning experience is necessary, but one must be able to swim and be moderately athletic, given the physical demands of the activity.
Other information
The activity takes place from May to October and is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
No changing rooms or toilets are available at the meeting point. It is recommended to leave one's personal belongings in the cars at the start of the route.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport; free roadside parking is available on site.
