Full description
Canyoning, also known as canyoning, is one of the most adrenalin-pumping sports in the world. A good reason to embark on this adventure in Roccamandolfi, in the province of Isernia!
Dive into the routes carved out by the Callora torrent, admire the gorges carved out by the water, the pools and natural slides, and get ready to experience indescribable emotions between dives, abseiling and cableways.
You'll spend three and a half hours of fun and light-heartedness, totally immersed in the unspoilt nature of Molise.
What we will do
We will meet in Roccamandolfi, in the province of Isernia, about 30 minutes before the start of the activity. First of all, we will have a briefing with the guide, who will explain what awaits us along the route, and we will put on the required equipment (wetsuit, helmet, footwear and harness).
Then we will be ready for our canyoning adventure, the first stage of which will be the approach phase. From the town centre we will move towards the nature reserve, which is about a 15-minute walk away: we will then be at the Callora torrent, which is only accessible by canyoning.
The water route, between 300 and 500 metres long, will be very varied. We will encounter drops from which to dive, a toboggan descent (i.e. a natural slide), some rope descents and stretches to be covered by cable car.
The maximum rapp el is 10 metres, while the dives are not compulsory: if you don't feel up to it, you can bypass the obstacles to continue along the course of the stream. The exit point from the canyon will be about 100 metres from the meeting point.
The activity, including briefing and dressing, lasts 3½ hours, while the actual course takes 2½ hours to complete.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is of an easy level and therefore suitable for everyone. It is necessary to be familiar with water, be used to walking on uneven ground and not suffer from vertigo.
The minimum age to participate is 10 years. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Other information
Canyoning in Roccamandolfi is available from April to June, Saturdays and Sundays, and is confirmed with a minimum number of 4 participants.
A changing area is available, but there are no showers or compartments to leave valuables.
During the activity, photos will be taken to capture the best moments of the day. The service can be purchased on site at an additional cost of €15 and photos of the adventure will be sent via a link.
