Full description
Water sports in Sardinia are not only practised by the sea but also in the mountains. With this canyoning itinerary in Gonnosfanadiga, you will discover how much fun it is to ride torrents.
You will venture into the waters of the Rio Zairi, a torrent that originates on Monte Linas, perfect for a first canyoning experience: an emotionally-charged itinerary that includes all the elements of canyoning, to be performed in complete safety with an expert guide.
You can climb the rocks, dive into the crystal-clear waters of the torrent, slide on the slides and abseil down the waterfalls. An exciting adventure in contact with unspoilt nature.
What we will do
The meeting is at 9.30 a.m. in Gonnosfanadiga (SU). Here we will meet the guide and the rest of the group and, having handed over thenecessary equipment, we will approach the Rio Zairi stream.
Before setting off on our canyoning adventure, we will have a briefing on progression techniques and safety rules. After that, we will enter the thousand-year-old granite gorge created by water erosion.
The route begins with a 6-metre rappel and continues along the river bed between waterfalls and fun rock slides. We will climb the rock walls with the aid of the rope and jump from rocks up to 7 metres high to dive into the pure, crystal-clear waters of this inland Sardinian torrent.
During the route, the guide will always be available to help participants in case of need. The activity will last about 4 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is also open to inexperienced beginners aged 12 and up. No specific skills are required, only good health and good aquatics.

This activity takes place from October to May, weather permitting, and is confirmed when there are at least 2 participants.
