Bibidi bobidi bu! It’s not magic: a horse-drawn carriage really is waiting for you in Borgofranco d’Ivrea!
Accompanied by a coachman and his lovely horses, you’ll set off on a tour of the Parco dei Cinque Laghi, in the heart of the Canavese.
A 2-hour experience that will make you feel like a lady or a knight from days gone by!
What we will do
We’ll meet at the selected time at the meeting point in Borgofranco d’Ivrea, where we’ll be welcomed by the guide – who is also the coachman – and his lovely horses.
After a brief welcome, we’ll be ready to set off on our carriage ride: once we’ve left the farm, we’ll find ourselves straight away in the open countryside. We’ll be able to enjoy the peace and tranquillity that will accompany us throughout the circular route in the Five Lakes Park of Ivrea.
We’ll travel along the shores of Lake Sirio, the largest in the park, Lake San Michele, the smallest, and Lake Nero, with its dark waters reflecting the surrounding landscape. We’ll also reach Lake Pistono and Lake di Campagna , which offer views of Montalto Dora Castle and San Giuseppe Castle respectively .
During the tour, we’ll also have the chance to admire the local wildlife, including a wide variety of bird species, whose song will accompany us on our ride. It will be a unique experience, in close contact with nature, allowing us to relive the atmosphere of times gone by!
The tour will finally conclude at the farm, after around 2 hours.

This experience is suitable for everyone, with no age restrictions. Children aged 0 to 4 can take part free of charge provided they are held in their parent’s arms.
Other information
The carriage ride takes place from Tuesday to Sunday, except in August, and is confirmed once a minimum of four participants have signed up.
There is a café on the farm.
The meeting point is difficult to reach by public transport: please contact the organiser to arrange a pick-up. However, there is ample parking available on site.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
