Beautiful wine cellar tastings, even more so in the Balmetti di Borgofranco d'Ivrea!
Natural cellars carved into the rock that today preserve wine and local delicacies, which you will not fail to taste during our carriage ride. Climb aboard and let yourself be led through the Ivrea countryside by my beloved horses and me, your coachman.
A 2-hour experience to discover the territory and its typical products!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you at the selected time at the meeting point in Borgofranco d'Ivrea (TO) . You will recognise me, I will be on a carriage that will welcome you on board for the occasion; pulling it will be my beloved horses, with whom I have been working with great passion for over 40 years.
During our excursion on four wheels (and more legs! ) we will venture into the countryside and the village of Borgofranco d'Ivrea. A dormant village most of the time, which comes to life as soon as the wine cellars open their doors and become a meeting point for companies that share a passion for wine!
And not just wine cellars: these are the Balmetti di Borgofranco d'Ivrea, natural cellars carved into the moraine rock in the Mombarone massif! We will get off the coach precisely to visit one of these characteristic cellars and participate in a tasting of local products (included) : maissa, canestrelli and a drink of your choice to accompany it.
At the end of the excursion, we will return to the meeting point in the horse-drawn carriage. The experience lasts a total of 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone with no age limit. Children from 0 to 4 years old participate free of charge as long as they are in their parent's arms.
Other information
The activity is available from January to December (excluding August) and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 4 participants.
Time availability may vary depending on temperatures, putting the horse's well-being first.
Tasting is included in the participation fee. For children and young people aged 4 to 18, non-alcoholic drinks are provided in addition to the tasting.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
