There’s a reason why poets from every era have chosen this stretch of coastline to find inspiration. Get ready to discover it on an exciting catamaran excursion in the Gulf of Poets!
During this tour, you’ll glide through the waves as the sky takes on warm hues, admiring Portovenere and the islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto.
You’ll spend an evening of pure relaxation, toasting the sunset with a refreshing welcome drink. Let the magic begin!
What we will do
We’ll meet 30 minutes before the scheduled time at the meeting point in La Spezia (SP).The crew will be there to welcome us and take us on our catamaran trip.
Once on board, we’ll leave the mainland behind and set off to explore the beauty of the Gulf of Poets. The sea will set the pace: if conditions are ideal, we’ll set course for the iconic Portovenere, venturing as far as the archipelago formed by the islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto. Alternatively, we’ll sail along the more sheltered stretches of the Ligurian coast, ensuring a captivating experience either way.
As the sun begins to set, the horizon will be filled with shimmering colours. There are no scheduled stops for swimming during the cruise, but we’ll be able to relax completely, lulled by the waves and background music. To celebrate this magical moment, the crew will serve us a welcome drink of our choice: a spritz, prosecco, beer or a soft drink of your choice.
As night falls, we’ll head back to the starting point, admiring the enchanting lights of the bay, which outline the city’s buildings from the sea.
The activity will last approximately 3½ hours in total .
Who it is aimed at
This experience is suitable for everyone; those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult on board. Children aged 0 to 2 travel free of charge.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible.

The trip takes place from April to October and is confirmed once the minimum number of 10 participants has been reached.
The itinerary may vary depending on weather and sea conditions, at the captain’s discretion.
The vessel is an Alegria catamaran featuring spacious interiors, an upper deck with panoramic sun loungers (double or triple) , relaxation and sunbathing areas, an on-board bar and toilet facilities.
It is forbidden to bring alcohol, food or drinks from outside on board, to smoke (e-cigarettes are permitted) or to use drones. Dogs are not allowed on board.
Free and paid parking is available on site. The meeting point is accessible by public transport: La Spezia Centrale station is about a 25-minute walk away, and the ATC bus stops at Piazza Europa are about 5 minutes’ walk away.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
