Explore nature with rafting on the Ticino: a unique adventure on the outskirts of Milan!
In the heart of the Parco Lombardo della Valle del Ticino (Lombardy Park of the Ticino Valley ), an easy and relaxing descent on the waters of the river awaits you, perfect for those seeking an outdoor activity, ideal for families, groups of friends or teams in search of fun and adventure.
Starting from Vigevano, you will paddle along a 6 km stretch for about 2 hours, accompanied by an expert guide who will lead you to discover the secrets of the river environment and its natural wonders.
What we will do
We will meet at the meeting point in Vigevano (PV), 10 minutes before the start time.
After a short technical briefing, the guide will provide us with the necessary equipment and some advice on how best to tackle the activity. Once we are ready, we will board the rubber dinghies and begin the descent , starting from the magnificent hydroelectric power station in Vigevano.
Surrounded by the lush vegetation of the Parco Lombardo della Valle del Ticino, we will paddle together along the river, following the calm rhythm of its currents. This stretch of about 6 km is perfect for admiring the natural environment, with explanations and curiosities that our guide will share along the way.
During the descent, we will not just paddle: the guide will propose games and activities to make the experience even more engaging. If the season permits, we will also take a break to dive and swim in the waters of the Ticino.
After about 2 hours of activity in the water, we will reach the historic dock of Vigevano. Here we will conclude our adventure and board the guide's minibus to return together to the starting point, where we can change at the end of the experience.
The activity will last about 3 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable from 3 years of age. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
It is not necessary to know how to swim. People with physical or intellectual disabilities may also participate, provided they are accompanied.
The maximum weight per person is 120 kg.
Other information
The experience is available on weekends from April to July and from September to October and is confirmed when a minimum number of four participants is reached.
Inflatable rafts for up to 14 participants are used for the descent.
There are toilets, changing rooms, outdoor showers and a storage room for personal belongings at the meeting point.
It is strongly advised not to take your mobile phone with you on the descent. The guide will take photos that will be sent digitally to participants in the days following the activity.
Dogs are allowed to participate in this activity, but it is necessary to inform the guide of their presence in advance to verify acceptance by the entire crew. Life jackets for dogs are available for hire on site at a cost of €10.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport; there is free parking on site.
