If you love wild nature and the sea, coasteering in Bagnara Calabra is the experience for you!
A unique itinerary combining hiking, abseiling and coastal exploration along one of the most beautiful stretches of the Costa Viola, with breathtaking views of the Strait of Messina and Sicily.
A 4-hour adventure that starts in the mountains, crosses ancient mule tracks and ends in the blue Tyrrhenian Sea, accompanied by an expert guide. Are you with us?
What we will do
We will meet at 9:00 a.m. at the meeting point in Bagnara Calabra, where the guide will be waiting for us with all the equipment: wet suit, life jacket and helmet. After a quick briefing, we will walk for about 10 minutes to the start of the route.
We will cross a panoramic plateau on the Costa Viola with views of the Strait of Messina and Sicily. The path descends between ancient mule tracks, Mediterranean scrub and dry stone walls that tell stories of farmers, soldiers and local legends.
Arriving near the cliff, a 40-metre rope descent will lead us directly into the sea. From here, we will venture between sea caves and small cliffs overlooking the sea, with the possibility of climbing and diving into the water (dives from 1 to 10 metres all optional).
Our final destination will be the beautiful Cala Ianculla, a corner of paradise where we will take a regenerating dip before returning to our starting point.
The experience lasts a total of around 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is of medium level and suitable for ages 14 and up. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
To participate, it is not necessary to know how to swim, you just need to be comfortable in the water.

The experience can be booked every day from May to September and is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
The meeting point is not easily accessible by public transport.
There are no showers, toilets or changing rooms on site; it is required to arrive already wearing a swimming costume, thermal shirt (optional) and wet sneakers
