They call it the 'Manhattan of the Middle Ages', but it's not just the towers of San Gimignano that will make your Tuscan getaway wow!
Just outside the walls, among neat rows of vines, the atmosphere invites you to slow down. This experiential stay includes 1 night in a farmhouse in the Tuscan hills with breakfast and a wine tasting with light lunch.

What we will do
Check-in is from 14: 30 to 19: 00 at the Palagettofarm in San Gimignano (SI) . The property is located a stone's throw from the towered city, among the hills and vineyards of Tuscany.
You will stay in a double room furnished in rural Tuscan style: each room is different from the others in colour and furnishings and is named after a vine. The room has a private en-suite bathroom, complete with shower or bath, toilet, washbasin, bidet, towels, courtesy kit and hairdryer. You will also find air conditioning, heating, free Wi-Fi and satellite TV.
During warm weather, you can relax in the property's panoramic swimming pool , surrounded by greenery. For dinner, the property has an in-house restaurant open only in the evenings, serving typical Tuscan dishes prepared according to the seasonality of produce. Dinner is not included and can be chosen from a set menu or à la carte and paid for directly on site. In the morning, a sweet and savoury breakfast buffet (included) awaits you, served in the restaurant's dining room.
Your stay will also include a wine tasting with light lunch at the wine cellar, about 1 km from the farmhouse: you can enjoy this experience on the day of your arrival or departure, agreeing this directly with the establishment. After a brief introduction on the history of the Palagetto family and the production philosophy, you will enter the barrique cellar for a guided tasting of 4 wines: 2 whites and 2 reds.
Among the wines to be tasted, you may find the famous Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG, the territory's symbolic white wine, and Sottobosco, a blend of Sangiovese, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. The labels offered may vary according to availability and season.
To accompany the glasses, an all-Tuscan light lunch: a platter of local cold cuts and cheeses, a hot first course and, to end on a high note, cantucci and Vin Santo. The experience will last about an hour.
Check-out is scheduled between 9: 00 and 10: 30.

Dogs are allowed with an extra charge of €15 payable locally.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
