Full description
Driving is more than just getting from point A to point B. It is knowing how to handle the unexpected, reacting promptly and being in control even when the road challenges you.
At the Castelletto Circuit, in the province of Pavia, you can experience an entire day dedicated precisely to this: transforming your driving into safety, awareness and confidence. Between theory, practical exercises and simulations with the instructor at your side, you will learn how to dominate the car in extreme conditions: skid-cars, emergency braking, fast slaloms and much more.
It won't just be a course, but an experience that will make you discover how powerful the feeling of being in control is, always and in any case.
What we will do
We will meet around 8.30 a.m. at the Castelletto Circuit for a welcome coffee and registration.
At 9 a.m. we will enter the classroom for 1 hour of interactive theory. With slides and dynamic explanations, we will explore topics such as psychophysical factors, driving position, control management, use of gears and brakes, tyres and grip, load transfers, defensive driving, eco-driving and gaze technique.
At 10:00 a.m. the first practical test session will begin on an equipped forecourt, again with the instructor on board. The cars used are B or C segment cars (such as the Opel Corsa or Renault Clio), perfect for practising and replicating everyday driving conditions.
We will practise with the skid-car to simulate loss of rear axle grip, emergency braking and obstacle avoidance braking. Driving in simulated risky conditions will enable us to deal safely with situations that can happen in real life.
At 1 p.m., a light lunch will be waiting for participants, which includes an appetiser, main course and water. Any accompanying persons may also stay for lunch, with an extra contribution to be paid on site.
From 14:30 to 16:45, we will resume with the second practical session. This time we will focus on slow and fast slaloms and theundersteer exercise, to learn how to recognise and handle each situation.
Finally, at 17:00 we will meet again in the classroom for the final briefing: we will correct the questionnaires, check the progress made and hand out the official certificate to all participants.
In total, the course lasts approximately 8 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The course is open to everyone over the age of 18 with a B licence, including new drivers. Foreign driving licences are also accepted, provided they are issued within the European Community.
Other information
The course takes place throughout the year and is confirmed with a minimum of 5 participants. We recommend booking well in advance as availability sells out very easily.
Training takes place in compact B or C-segment cars, popular models such as the Opel Corsa or Skoda Fabia. The idea is simple: practice in cars that you could also drive every day, so that you immediately transfer what you learn to real driving.
Accompanying persons are welcome; they can attend the theoretical part in the classroom, the practical tests of the participants and request a light lunch (not included for accompanying persons and to be paid on site) . The approximate price is 20€.
In case of allergies and/or food intolerances, please contact the organiser at the references that will be sent to you by e-mail with the booking confirmation to communicate them.
Professional photos and videos of the experience are available on request. Alternatively, accompanying persons can take photos and videos during the practical test.
