Daily safe driving course + drift at the Castelletto di Branduzzo circuit

A day at the track can teach you more than years behind the wheel.

In this safe driving + drift course at the Castelletto di Branduzzo circuit you start by building control, what you need when the car loses grip and the road is unforgiving. Then, in the afternoon, you put it to the test by entering the world of drift, where the car slides sideways and every movement counts.

What we will do

The appointment is at the Autodromo di Castelletto di Branduzzo at 8am, with a welcome and breakfast (coffee and croissants) before the official start of the course at 8. 30am.

The day starts with a briefing on safe driving, because control is built first. During the morning we work on the most critical situations of real driving: loss of grip, emergency braking, cornering, steering and countersteering management. The exercises take place on dry and wet asphalt, to really understand how the car reacts when something goes wrong and how to stay sharp when it does.

You will always drive with instructors and professional drivers, in small groups, alternating between clear explanations and lots of practice. Practice will be in rear-wheel drive cars, such as the Mazda MX-5 or BMW: light, responsive and perfect for feeling what happens when the balance changes.

In the afternoon, we enter the world of drifting. After a brief theoretical introduction, we move onto a dedicated 60 × 70 metre square, the ideal space to work safely on oversteering. Here we learn how to initiate the drift, manage it with throttle and steering wheel, and maintain it in a smooth and controlled manner, with progressive exercises that follow your level.

The day ends with a final debriefing and certificate of participation. The experience lasts a total of about 8 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The course is open to anyone over the age of 18 with a B licence, including novice drivers. Equivalent foreign driving licences are also accepted.

A weight of less than 120 kg is also required to participate.

Other information

The course takes place throughout the year on the dates indicated in the calendar.

The exercises take place on rear-wheel drive cars such as Mazda MX-5 or BMWs, chosen to make the loss of grip more evident and to work effectively on car control. The activity takes place on the circuit with dedicated insurance coverage; a liability release must be signed before the start, as is the practice for track driving experiences.

Accompanying persons are welcome: they have free access to the circuit and can watch the participants' practices from a dedicated area. There is a maximum of 1 accompanying person per participant.

Videos of the experience can be purchased on request, with professional filming via camera car on board. The video service is available at a cost of €30.
