Full description
Here you don't drive: you master drifting. At Mozzecane, in the province of Verona, a professional driver-instructor takes you into the heart of a discipline made of adrenaline, smoke and extreme control.
Over 5 turns of 12 minutes each, alternating theory and practice, you will learn how to feel the car, provoke it and keep it sideways. Each corner becomes a battleground between power and technique, and you will be at the centre of the spectacle.
At the end you will receive a certificate of participation, but the real prize will be the feeling of having challenged the limits and bent them to your will.
What we will do
The appointment is in Mozzecane (VR), where the drifting instructor, a graduate of the UISP-CONI national school, will welcome us. Before taking to the track, we will participate in an initial briefing lasting about 30 minutes, during which we will learn the basics of drifting, car control techniques, and safety rules.
Then it's on to the most eagerly awaited part: we will climb aboard the drift-prepared BMWs and begin the practical experience. Each participant will have 5 driving turns of 12 minutes each, alternating with moments of explanation and demonstration by the instructor.
Each round is structured as follows: explanation of the exercise, demonstration by the instructor, followed by a test at the wheel. We will try our hand at the attack of the curve (first part of the curve in drift) , the closing of the curve, the "zero" (turning around a reference) and the "eight" (turning right and left with the car sideways) . Once we have mastered one exercise, we will immediately move on to the next. And if we manage to complete them all in advance, we can also tackle intermediate exercises.
The five driving sessions are spread out over the day, between morning and afternoon, with a lunch break of around two hours to recharge our batteries, choosing between a packed lunch at the trackside or a partner restaurant.
At the end of the day, we will receive a certificate of participation as a memento of this high-adrenaline experience. Between the initial briefing, driving sessions, preparation time and final delivery of the certificate, the experience has an approximate duration of about 4 hours, which may vary depending on the number of participants.
