2-hour drifting course in the province of Bologna

Did you always think that driving well meant staying on track? Wait until you discover how much fun it can be to lose it.

In Crespellano, just a few kilometres from Bologna, an intensive 2-hour course is waiting for you to learn one of the most spectacular driving techniques in existence, drifting. You'll get into a full drift BMW E36, with an instructor at your side, and, starting from the basics, you'll arrive at closing 180° bends with the accelerator down and the counter-steer under control.

After this course, driving straight ahead will seem boring.

What we will do

The appointment is in Crespellano (BO), 10 minutes before the time selected at the time of booking.

After a 5-10 minute theoretical briefing with your instructor, you will immediately get on board a BMW E36 full drift car, set up to drift with precision: sports trim, hydraulic handbrake, 60° steering, locked differential, and a great desire to go sideways.

During the first hour, you will cover the fundamentals of drifting:

• how to grip the steering wheel;
• how to dose the brake and accelerator;
• how to use the handbrake to lock the rear wheels;
• how to react with countersteer.

Then comes the fun. In the second hour, you'll move on to advanced exercises: closing corners with a 180° drift, controlling engine revs, managing realignment. In practice, you'll really start to drive like in the movies.

At the end, you will also receive a certificate of participation.

The total duration of the experience is approximately 2 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is suitable from the age of 18. The ability to drive a car with a manual gearbox is required to participate; a driving licence is not required.

Other information

The activity can be booked throughout the year on the dates indicated in the calendar (continually updated).

BMW E36s specially equipped for drifting are used for the experience. Each car is equipped with a sports set-up, a locked differential, a hydraulic handbrake and a steering wheel with an increased angle of up to 60°, perfect for negotiating every bend in a controlled drift.

Accompanying persons are welcome; they can stand under the track gazebo to watch the activity unfold and take photos and/or videos.

When booking, you can choose whether to book just the drifting course or add the professional video and photo service. If you select the full option, a photographer will follow your entire experience: he will mount a GoPro inside the car, take photos from the ground and also use a drone for aerial shots. You will then receive around 20 high-quality photos and an edited video with the best clips, background music and dynamic editing, delivered via a private link.

The meeting point can be reached by public transport; there is ample free parking on site.
