Full description
Approach the world of sailing with a half-day basic course in Savona and take advantage of the Ligurian Riviera to practice one of the most fascinating nautical disciplines.
Our experienced instructors will help you familiarise yourself with the boat and learn the basics of sailing. You will learn about the winds and take your first steps on the path that will make you a true sea dog!
What we will do
We will meet at the port of Savona, where we will be welcomed by the instructors and introduced to the course with a theoretical lesson on the world of sailing. During the day, we will alternate theory and practice, following the instructors in all the necessary procedures for sailing.
First, we will learn the nomenclature and the basics of sailing, including an overview of the winds. Then we will focus onrigging the boat and practising the main knots. We will then set sail and become familiar with the different gaits and setting sail .
We will assist the instructors and experience first-hand how to steer the boat and practise basic manoeuvres such as tacking and jibing. Finally, we will be shown the techniques of man overboard recovery and safety rules for sailing without risk.
The activity will last 5 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is open to everyone from 8 years old. Children under the age of 18 cannot participate alone in the activity; they must be accompanied by a parent.
No experience is required to participate in this activity.
Other information
This activity can be carried out all year round, weather permitting, and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 3 participants.
12-metre sailing cabin cruisers will be used for the course.

The guide may offer you an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to accept or decline these proposals. If you cannot reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
