Full description
Driving well does not mean driving slowly: it means knowing how to react.
At the Castelletto Circuit, in the province of Pavia, you will learn that safety can also be an adrenalin-fuelled experience. A safe driving course in fact is not like going back to driving school: here we are not talking about parking in the back, but slaloms between cones and simulated drifts in total safety.
4 hours of theory and practice, with professional instructors. We are waiting for you!
What we will do
We will meet around 8.30 a.m. at the Castelletto Circuit for a welcome coffee and registration.
At 9 a.m. we will enter the classroom for 1 hour of interactive theory. With slides and dynamic explanations, we will explore topics such as road safety, psychophysical factors, driving position, control management, use of the gearbox and clutch, tyres and grip, and much more.
Once the theoretical part is over, we will move to theequipped area of the circuit. Here the practical tests will begin, always with an instructor on board. We will work on concrete exercises such as skid-car and rear-axle grip loss control, slow slalom, emergency braking and braking with obstacle avoidance even on wet asphalt.
Driving in simulated risky conditions will enable us to deal safely with situations that can happen in real life. We will learn to handle the car with promptness, control and cold blood. The cars used are B or C-segment cars (such as the Opel Corsa or Renault Clio), perfect for practising and replicating everyday driving conditions.
At the end of the tests, around 13:30, we will return to the classroom for the final briefing. We will hand in questionnaires, analyse errors together and receive acertificate of participation.
In total, the activity lasts approximately 4 hours from 9:00 to 13:30.
Who it is aimed at
The course is open to everyone over the age of 18 with a B licence, including new drivers. Foreign driving licences are also accepted, provided they are issued within the European Community.
Other information
The course takes place throughout the year and is confirmed with a minimum of 5 participants. We recommend booking well in advance as availability sells out very easily.
Training takes place in compact B or C-segment cars, popular models such as the Opel Corsa or Skoda Fabia. The idea is simple: practice in cars that you could also drive every day, so that you immediately transfer what you learn to real driving.
Accompanying persons are welcome: they can attend both the theoretical part in the classroom and the practical tests of the participants.
Professional photos and videos of the experience are available on request. Alternatively, accompanying persons can take photos and videos during the practical test.
