Full description
Half a day to take hold of the reins of the wind.
In Malcesine, on the windiest side of Lake Garda, a practical, intensive and energetic sailing course awaits you.
In 2.5 hours you will go from "I've never tried it" to steering the boat independently, with the support of an experienced instructor and the right wind at the right time.
No endless lessons ashore, just time to learn the essentials... and off you go!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Malcesine (VR). We will be welcomed by thesailing instructor who will follow us during the lesson.
The course will take place in small groups (max. 4 people) so that everyone will be able to put themselves to the test, with the constant support of the instructor.
After a short briefing ashore (just enough time to understand how the boat works), we will climb aboard to get into the thick of the experience: more than 2 hours of active sailing.
Together with the instructor, we will begin to get to grips with the controls, the wind and thebalance of the boat. We will then take turns at the helm, manage the sails and learn basic manoeuvres, aiming for autonomy right from the start.
The lesson will take place on a stable and safe, yet fast and responsive hull, which will give us all the pleasure of sailing. The Garda wind will do the rest: in the morning the Pelér will accompany us, stronger and more constant, in the afternoon there will be theOra, gentler and more regular.
We will finally return to the starting point. The total duration of the course will be around 2 and a half hours .
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone from the age of 12; children under the age of 18 may participate with signed authorisation from an adult.
The course is of an easy level and suitable for a first sailing experience .
Swimming skills are required to participate.

The course is available all year round , weather permitting.
If you would like to deepen your experience after the lesson, you can purchase the complete 5-day course on site, perfect for learning to sail independently in all conditions.
Changing rooms, showers and astorage area for personal belongings are available at the meeting point.
Any accompanying persons can wait at the nautical centre where there is a restaurant, a beach bar, a private beach with a shaded chill-out area and sun loungers, free Wi-Fi and a panoramic terrace.
There is free parking for guests on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport or on foot from the centre of Malcesine.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
