Full description

But how do you make a proper Piadina Romagnola? !

Come and find out with this unmissable experience in Civitella di Romagna, in the province of Forlì-Cesena. You’ll learn to identify and forage for aromatic herbs and use them to cook piadinas and crescioni, traditional dishes from the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines.

And after cooking, you’ll be able to savour the delicacies you’ve prepared, accompanied by a glass of wine!

What we will do

We’ll meet at the meeting point in Civitella di Romagna, in the province of Forlì-Cesena. Our guide will be there to welcome us with a brief introduction of about 10 minutes, explaining how the workshop will unfold and highlighting the main herbs we’ll find in the fields and use during the cookery lesson.

We’ll start the morning with a walk through the surrounding fields, where we’ll observe and gather various wild herbs. Along the way, the guide will share interesting facts, health benefits and possible culinary uses of the plants we come across, making the walk both educational and enjoyable.

On our return, we’ll stop briefly at the henhouse to collect fresh eggs, before heading to the kitchen for the hands-on workshop: we’ll roll out fresh pasta dough with a rolling pin and prepare Piadina Romagnola and Crescioni, traditional dishes from the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines. Each of us will play an active part, using the herbs we’ve gathered to create tasty, wholesome dishes.

We’ll round off the experience by sitting down to a snack ( included) made from what we’ve prepared during the workshop, accompanied by a glass of local wine. Before we say goodbye, we’ll receive a handout with the recipes and information on the herbs used, so that we can recreate the dishes we’ve tried at home.

The activity will last a total of 1. 5 hours.
