Full description
Two is better than one! Experience rafting and canyoning in one day of fun in the nature of Calabria.
You will start in the morning with a 16-km rafting descent down the Lao river, past magnificent gorges, high cliffs and waterfalls. A stop for lunch (included) and then it's off again with canyoning down the Jannello torrent to face waterfalls , jumps and natural slides.
It will be an incredible day in which to push your spirit of adventure to the limit, but always in safety thanks to our expert guides.
What we will do
We will meet in Laino Borgo (CS ) at 9:00 am. From here, shuttles will take us in 5-10 minutes to the point on the Lao river where our double adventure of rafting and canyoning will begin. In other words, we will experience an entire day of fun, adrenalin and nature.
Once we arrive at the chosen point, we will follow the guide's briefing , which will enable us to enter the water with the knowledge and information needed to enjoy our rafting experience in perfect safety. We will tackle an initial 16 km stretch of river, which will immediately captivate us with one of the most beautiful and evocative sceneries that the Lao river holds in store: its gorges.
On board an inflatable boat for 2-6 participants (in addition to the guide), we will descend along a part of the river bordered by high cliffs and waterfalls that form one of the deepest and most beautiful canyons in Europe.
It will take us two to three hours to complete the route and we will end the first part of the day with a lunch of local products at the second base of the rafting centre.
After lunch, we will be ready for our second adventure! We will move to a tributary of the Lao, the Jannello torrent, for an adrenaline-fuelled canyoning experience. During the briefing we will be shown how to put on theharness and move along the route, made up of rappels, jumps and water slides.
The canyoning will involve two rope descents from a maximum height of 7 metres, a series of small jumps of 1-2 metres and fun pools of crystal-clear water to dive into. Almost all obstacles can be circumvented, making the route accessible even to the inexperienced.
At the end of the canyoning, which will always last between 2 and 3 hours, we will return to the main base by shuttle between 5 and 6 pm. In total, the activity lasts 8 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is intended for persons of good physical health and good aquatic skills, aged 14 and over.
Minors may also participate on their own, provided they have a release form signed by their parent.
Other information
The activity takes place every day from May to September and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 2 participants.
Lunch included includes an appetiser, a first course and a second course based on typical Calabrian products, accompanied by drinks. Please communicate any food intolerances or allergies to the organisers after the booking confirmation.
At the end of the experience, participants will have access to the facility's toilets and changing rooms with showers for changing.
Photos of the rafting experience, which will be shared via email, can be purchased on site at an additional cost of 40€ per raft.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
